To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Hep c w/cirhosis with hematuria I am a 47 year old female. In 2000 I underwent blood testing for life insurance. I was told they couldn’t help me, due to I had Hepatitis C. I consulted a gastroenterologist and was told that at that point treatment would make me sicker than I was. I took that answer and went on about my way of raising my 5 children and my mother who had alzeimers. In 2002, my doctor left for Texas, to start a practice at that point I fould a new doctor. A wonderful doctor, who told me I should start treatment right away because there is not cure but the virus can be reduced to a lower level. Well after 3 course of alphainterferon we found out that I was a nonresponer, and ever since then my health has declined. I now have cirohsis, hep c, graves disease, and a host of other condition. I have recently found to have a large amount of gross hematuria in my blood. So now it is affecting my kidneys along with diabetes II. sometimes its very hard not to just give up, but I have a thirst for life. Watching my children grow up to fine young people, to play with my grandchildren. I was hoping to get a little information on why I have a large amount of blood in my urine. December 2007
