To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Electrolyte Balance - Heat Stroke… Ever since I had surgery for diverticulosis [diverticulitis] (partial colon removal and reconnection) I feel dehydrated. I started drinking at least 96oz. of purified water daily and found no relief (it made me urinate very frequently, but my skin still dry and mouth parched, hard stool), until I started adding a gatitor aide [Gatorade] type mix (with potassium and sodium). I now feel better generally but am wondering why the change in my system? I had what was termed ‘heat stroke’ this summer and nearly went to the hospital. I recovered after sipping gaitor aide for 2 days. What should I have checked? I’m a young 52. Comments
