To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download blood in urine I am a 54 yr. old female. i started with blood in my urine and back pain. thought it was a kidney stone. after a couple of weeks the pain which felt like labor pains did go away. i did continue to feel bruised in my lower back area. had a cystoscopy (sp?). showed my bladder was ok. then i had a sonogram which showed an enlarged left kidney. so they did a left retrograde and found a tumor in my upper ureter. i am now going for another test to put a small camera up the ureter to look around and i also am scheduled for surgery in dec. most likely to remove the ureter and kidney. will know more after the next test. after just thinking i had a kidney stone this was a shock. i am glad i asked for a sonogram and also glad my urologist decided to do the retrograde. i had surgery in 03 for a brain tumor. hoping this is not related. if you feel something is wrong and you keep testing positive for blood in the urine push for another test: it could save your other organs. i also have nausea.
