multiple solid mases in and on both kidneys

by: k on Mon, Jan 14 2008

55 female with worsening symptoms over last 10 years. Have had Trace blood in urine for probably 15 years. I was told it was nothing. Had gallbladder removed. They did a Hida scan and saw 2 small masses in one kidney and 1 in the other. I was told these were probably simple cysts; not to worry.

Presented to D.O. with confusion, head-ache, terrible low-back pain, nasty breath, swelling and numbness in extremities, Rapidly expanding girth, vision going very fast, chronic dizziness and insomnia. Have an appointment with nephrologyst next week. I am horrified. They saw all this on an uninhanced cat-scan. I am alergic to iodine and they want to do a inhanced MRi I refused until I am convinced the contrst material will Not do More damage. What could I be looking at. The masses have douled and tripled in size and I am almost non-functional. I am nauseated and weak and swolen most days and feel like I have Alzhymer’s. Creatinine and other test findings going up. Blood-pressure keeps going up, as well. Anyone… help me to prepare for what I may have to deal with. I am Not losing weight. I snack and stay away from most protien.

I have just stopped eating it over time. Didn’t know why. I eat small meals or sip hot drinks. My gut looks like I am 7 mos. pregnant and I can just bearly get my boots zipped. 4 inch gap in jeans from closing that were big last year.
