To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download my HUS story In December of 06 i went to the ER because i thought i had symptoms of a stomach virus and then it turned out i was diagnosed with ecoli [E. coli] which later started to get worse because i was diagnosed with having HUS following it. At first my symptoms were just vomiting and severe stomach pains but then came diarrhea and then it started to turn to straight blood. So they transfered me to the children’s hospital and there my symptoms just got worse. everything started going down hill. i soon stoped producing urine and then soon after that i started to go crosseyed and after i started getting a little better it was like i would get ten times worse. finally my vision was rite again. i went into a ceassure [seizure] and they seddated me for about five days. i was on a resperator. i was eating out of tubes, i had tons of iv’s in me. At this point the doctors didnt even know if i was gona make it. the HUS effected every organ in my body. my kidney completely shut down. my liver was effected, i had no urine. my brain was inflamed, my heart was enlarged. At this point all the doctors could say was my heart was still working. The worse part was when i finally woke up i had no idea of what was goin on and little did i know, i forgot how to do things an average person doesnt even take notice they’re doing, all from the ceasure. I had to learn to walk proper. i had speach problems i was in therapy for a month after i got out of the hospital. But when everything started going real good, my blood pressure skyrocketed to like almost 300 over 200. i started to lose my vision but i eventually got it back and by the time i came out of the hospital, i was anemic but that went away.
