To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download TTP cant stop me! For about 3-4 weeks, I was fighting what seemed to be a cold or sever allergies. This later turned into strep throat (which I am prone to getting) my body couldn’t fight it off. And I could feel something else’s happening that was NOT just strep. I continued to take the Antibiotics prescribed by the doctors for strep, but I had a trip planned that I WAS NOT going to miss. Friday October 19, 2007 my mother and I were heading to the airport to catch a flight to Chicago and then connecting onto New York. I was diagnosed on Oct 19, 2007. We stopped by Wal-Mart on the way to the Airport and I walked form the car to the door and couldn’t breathe. I contributed it to being larger and told my mom to go on without me and I would meet her back in the front. We rushed in a similar manner into the airport and I again couldn’t catch my breath. The first flight to Chicago I began to feel woozy so my mom ordered a wheel chair from gate to gate. As I was being wheeled, I could feel my left side get numb. My sister and I prayed and after testing me and finding nothing wrong at the airport emergency team, they let me board the next plane to New York. I was on a plane to N.Y and my body begins to shut down. I began vomiting, lost my motor skills and started going in and out as if I were going to faint. The Ambulance was waiting for me on the walkway. I walk to the door of the plane, saw the stretcher and gave up the fight to stay conscious. I figured they had me now and could find out what was going on. They diagnosed it as TTP. I was given a blood transfusing and my first plasmapharisis treatment. I had an initial allergic reaction to the plasma and they had to use another kind. I had 7 treatments and was released to com home. My last treatment was Oct 30, 2007, was released on October 31, 2007 and I am feeling great! I know that my faith in Jesus is what made me whole. My doctor released me on February 14, 2008 and said that I was done with him. VERY GREAT NEWS! All the symptoms were there, BAD headaches, purpura on my tongue, fatigue, disorientation, achy body, and a sore that wouldn’t heal and more, never would have guessed this. God is still good and I am fabulous. And now I am starting a Non-Profit that among other things will educate and raise money for MORE A-Pharisis machines (that will be portable). It will be based out of Dallas/Ft Worth, but prayerfully expend to help THOUSANDS! [moderator note: e-mail address has been removed] February 2008
