To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Bilateral Kidney Cancer I had my left kidney removed in 2004. In 2006 I had four tumors treated in my right kidney by having htem frozen (cryoablation). I now have more tumors in the remaining kidney. My kidney function is at about 30%. But because the tumors are growing, I have been advised to have it removed. now rather than later because of the possibility of the cancer spreading. This will mean NO kidneys and dialysis. If I can be cancer free elsewhere after being fully checked out and after pathology comes back when they remove the remaining kidney, I may be able to have a living donor transplant. I am interested in hearing if anyone has gone through anything like this. December 2007
