My kidney problem
by: M. Cavalieri on Tue, May 15 2007

I had problems since i was born in my stomach region. As a child, my parents frequented brought me to doctors and specialists because they noticed i was very sensitive to certain foods. Most doctors said i had a dietry problem such as lactose-intolerant, etc.
As my condition did not improve, it became a regular event for me to feel very sore in my stomach area, vomiting, and many days off school. This became a concern.

After months of deliberation and after seeing many specialists, many ultrasounds and plenty more needles later, i was booked in to have my operation. Basically, my left side kidney was only functioning at 30%. This was due to the tiny little tube which comes from kidney to the bladder [ureter]; it was much smaller than it should have been and i was born like this.

The moral of my story: nobody has to live with discomfort so please persist with specialists and doctors until you reach a solution!
