My son

My son, who is now 24, has suffered with kidney stones one after another, since he was 18. Before his first stone, he was an A student athlete. Very focused, ambitious. Now it seems like it’s a struggle just to get simple tasks taken care of. He has flunked out of four colleges.

A woman mentioned to me that her doctor asked her how she was coping mentally while suffering with a kidney stone. Mentally? Obviously, this doctor felt that kidney stones can affect one mentally (lack of focus, etc.) Could that be my son’s problem? Please give me any information you can about this aspect of suffering from kidney stones. My son is a good man, he just seems to be struggling to get his life on the right track.
