Confused treatment

I been having stones for a long time, and in 2004 a doctor decided to do the Percutaneous Nephrostolithotomy (PCN)procedure, saying that, my stone was too hard and big to be treated by a Litotryper. The surgery was a fiasco, besides the infection that I had for several months, he told me that he was unable to catch the stone, but only 30% of it (why he did that them?)…

Several years later, we realized that I still have the infections and the stone that was big, now is even bigger. In July of 2008, another doctor decided to do the litotripsia, and even not believing on the results of it, he told me after that, the stone was totally gone. I was so happy with that. Few months later, with infections once again, the CT Scam accused that, the stone still there, and twice bigger.

I’m about to see another doctor in 2 weeks, my primary doctor want to keep me on antibiotics, I was taking Microbid for several weeks and got a really bad dermatitis with, they decided to switch to Cephalexin (which suppose to be taken every 6 hous) but happens that, I have already taken that, without any success. In this point, even paying a high premium insurance, I can’t avoid the feeling that, they just don’t know what they are doing. I heard that, there’s even better drugs out there to treat the kind of infection that I have, but someone told me that, depending of the insurance, they just don’t want to pay for that.

Anyone out there, has been through such nightmare? What should I do? Thanks
