I have suffered with kidney stones for the past 9 years. The first time was because of an over active parathyroid, or after surgery it turned out to be 2 of them. 7 years went by kidney stone free, then I got all the symptoms with excruciating pain just over 18 months ago. I have passed several since then and had surgery again to remove more over active parathyroids. That left me with an under active parathyroid and low calcium and am on medication for it. Now I have a large kidney stone which I have been having treatment to break up for the last 3 months, which has got me nowhere. This whole experience is ruining my life, emotionally and physically. I just want it gone.
