I thought stomach virus or constipation. The big wimp I am about DR. and hospitals, that was out of the question. The pain started about 1:00 pm. I figured I’ll wait it out and it’ll pass. Whoa was I wrong. First of all let me say…. I’ve had handle bars stuck into my side, a rottweiler bit me in the same place as it was healing, hot coffee poured on my chest, shot with fragments of metal from a bullet, palm split open by a box cutter. wrist split open by broken glass, but never a broken bone. So how does something such as a kidney stone bring a grown man down to his knees and beg for an ambulance to come. I waited until 9:00 that night to call for help, I have never endured so much pain in my life. It felt like I had to use the restroom constantly, but couldn’t. The Doctors here were nice and cool about it and gave me a bag of nutrients through my veins, a shot of Tyndall, a shot of morphine (which really helped with the pain) sent me back for CT scan and seen 2 stones. He told me to drink a lot of water and take these Viacodin pain pills with Motrin. right now the pain is centered around my right lower back and right groan area. it a slight pain that I can control but nothing like the beginning. I started drinking orange juice to relieve the squeezing pain. This is one experience I never want again. Kudos to those that can live with the pain and bear with it. February 2010
