Nephrotic Syndrome Minimal Change- 9years

by: IMA on Wed, Apr 23 2008

I was diagonised as MCNS (Minimal change neprotic syndorome) in 1998.Since then I am under steroid. Relapses twice in a year.During the 9 years once I got 3 months,6 months and 9 months with out medicine. the recent year maximum one month without medicine. Always starts with 60 mg prednisone and tapering to 5 mg now I am on 5mg A/D. But now albumin - urine shows 2.

Where it will end. I am affraid of . Presently I am working in Qatar. One of my cousins who is a Doctor in US advised me to start with `RAMIPRIL’. So Please give me the readers opinion what should I do. Will Ramipril have side effects than Prednisone? Once I am alright the moon shaped face and body will be alright.
