reaction to calcium channel blockers

After two years of using Ziac, and trying 3 other channel blockers in 1-1/2 weeks with symptoms ranging from rash and itching to raging burning skin and chilling, I have been referred to a nephrologist. I have been told and my labs confirm that my kidneys are functioning fine. I am a RN, but I am stumped too. Atenolol left my ankles bulging- to relieve pain I had to elevate and ice. Metoprolol gave me face numbness, insomnia, anxiety severe redness and warmth on the outer part of each extremity and I awoke with my heart pounding. Sulnar the latest gave me a sunburn type feeling with chilling and of course the swelling of ankles and my blood pressure was still high for me 122/82, P88. Now back to the original Ziac that gave me rash and redness with constant itching, and swelling when MD upped the dose to 10mg. I have been referred to a nephrologist for review of internal conditions. Heart is fine, no fluid in the lungs. Anyone out there have similar findings? Let me have the scoop please.
