My father in law’s battle with renal failure

My father in law has diabetes and his health has gone down hill in the past year. He has the end stages of renal failure is what we’re told by the doctors. We’ve tried testing everyone that we can think of to see if we can find him a kidney before it’s too late.

He’s been on both the hospital dialysis and home dialysis too. Now he’s been in an out of the hospital (reg room and icu like 5 times in the last 2 months. It’s been tough on my husband who is his only son and his 2 sisters plus the whole family.

He has a wonderful wife who has stayed by his side and helped him thoughtout this whole ordeal. We just want him back to the way he was before….but we know that will probably never happen ..so all we can hope for is that he gets a kidney transplant but that can take awhile as you have to go through all kinds of tests both him and the person that’s donating the kidney.

Life has become a constant struggle for him and we hate seeing him this way. He is only 53 and still has alot to offer in this lifetime.
