Don’t Take all Nephrologists so Seriously–Know Your Own Body.

Yes I had chronic kidney disease, yes I should be on a low protein diet (which I was trying to convey to all the other nephrologists I saw) and the summation was that he knew I knew what I was doing and believed I indeed was for preventive care after all! All this after fighting for years to find a nephrologist to believe me. Eight years ago my GPR was 60 it is now 35. You must become your own best advocate, read all the literature you can, and if your gut reaction tells you a physician doesn’t make sense, move on.
